Tribute to The Palace Hotel (Queen of the Desert) - Broken Hill, NSW (362)
As an artist, and a Broken Hill ‘Blow In’ for years now, I'm delighted to share this piece, of the iconic Palace Hotel.
This beautiful building is not only a key location in the film Priscilla, Queen of the Desert but also the proud host of the beloved Broken Heel Festival for the last ten years.
I think I've captured the architectural elegance of the Palace, which began its life in 1889 as a chic coffee palace before transitioning into a licensed hotel 3 years later. Using bright, welcoming colours, I've highlighted the hotel’s charming facade against the breathtaking backdrop of the Outback sky.
This piece is my celebration of the Broken Hill's festive spirit and historic allure, inviting everyone to experience the rich cultural of the Far West.
